Though unplanned, when the artist first held the stitched patchwork sheet, an impulse arose to wrap herself in it, to honor and tenderly embrace each individual whose self-expression it embodied. As she wrapped herself within the sheet, it became woven into her own sense of self—a personal expression interlaced with the stories it held.
